The North Herts All Girls Choir is for girls from Hertfordshire aged between 12-18 in school years 7 -13 and meets on a Tuesday evening from 7.30 - 9.30. The Choir meets every Tuesday evening during school term times at The Market Theatre Rehearsal Rooms in Hitchin. Their aim with the choir is to expose the girls to many different styles of singing; jazz, musical theatre, pop, classical, gospel, rock.They aim to teach them not only the technicalities of singing in harmony, and working as a team; but also a sense of professionalism. They want them to be P.R.O.s (punctual, reliable and organised!) These are skills they can take with them in the future, whether they go into music professionally or not. The choir is also a great opportunity to make new friends. There are 4 sections in the choir - Soprano 1, Soprano 2, Alto 1 and Alto 2. Laura and Kelly begin by placing the girls in the part they seem most comfortable, but hope to end up with all of them being able to sing every part! Fees are £62 per term. There is also a special sister-discount if there are two girls from the same family. |
